Task 1:

Write a two-three paragraph essay describing your experience with culture shock, then list the ways you have personally done or will do or overcome it. Try to answer these questions:
1.                    Did you know about culture shock before?
2.                    How did you feel about reading on that topic?
3.                    Was learning about culture shock in class helpful for you?

A culture shock is a term used to describe the anxiety produced when a person moves to a completely new environment. This term expresses the lack of direction, the feeling of not knowing what to do or how to do things in a new environment, and not knowing what is appropriate or inappropriate. The feeling of culture shock can usually set in after the first few weeks of arriving in a new country. Honestly, I have not known about the culture shock and its types until today.

To begin with the things, which I have learnt from today’s class and gives me a lot of experience or better strategy, how to deal with these kind of culture sock is to share information with our family, friends or community in order to find out better solution and learn from their experience not only that but also to get knowing a lot about the people what they like and do not like.
